• Name, email address, phone number, and city/suburb
• Work history, education, skills, and references you enter into the wizard
• Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store card details)
• IP address and browser information for security and analytics

3. How we use your information

We use your information solely to:

• Generate your resume and cover letter
• Create and manage your account
• Process your payment
• Send your PDF by email upon request
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve our service (anonymised analytics only)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data storage

When you create an account after purchase, your CV data is stored securely in our database for the duration of your 30-day access period. This allows you to edit and re-download your CV at any time. After your access period expires, your data may be deleted. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

5. Your rights under the Privacy Act 1988

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Anthropic Claude — AI text generation (data is not used to train AI models)
• Supabase — secure database and authentication hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery (PDF delivery)
• Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure

7. Cookies

AussieCV uses essential cookies only — for authentication (keeping you logged into your account) and secure payment processing via Stripe. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
